Earlier, the Executive Director of ISMPH, Moji Makanjuola represented by the Director of Programmes, Solomon Dogo gave an insight into the project.

According to him, the project will produce self-sustainment and empowerment of women including disabled women adding that it will also lead to reduction of crime through improved family cash flow.

In his words: “we are going to train and empower 30 women in Kwali Area Council and 30 women in Bwari Area council. This project will clean up the environments from the nuisance of water sachets and translate them into saleable durable and robust bags, mats and other items which in effect means it will create a value chain around waste, while the media will be used to give visibility to what the women are producing”

The council Chairman however requested that the number of women to be empowered should be increased, a request which the Director of Programmes said would be considered
