Excerpts:
How was your growing up like, and what challenges did you face if any?
My childhood was shaped by my parents’ love for pastoralism and their community involvement. However, as I grew older, I became fascinated by the potential of technology to address complex societal issues. My passion for technology led me to develop a keen interest in innovative solutions that could transform key areas such as education.
What was the state of primary and secondary education in DRC before your company started?
Before the inception of Find Solution Technology, primary and secondary education in the DRC faced numerous challenges. These included inadequate infrastructure, lack of pedagogical resources, and technology to facilitate learning and school monitoring. Schools often struggled with administrative difficulties and communication with parents, hindering students’ educational development.
What gave birth to the idea of Find Solution Technology?
The idea for Find Solution Technology arose from my personal experience and deep conviction in a more interactive and personalized education in the DRC. Witnessing the challenges my sister faced in the Congolese education system, I realized the need for a technological solution to improve school monitoring and communication between parents and schools. Shule System was born with the goal of transforming the educational landscape in the DRC.
Did you face any challenges when you floated the company?
The process of floating the company presented various challenges, including identifying suitable investors, regulatory compliance, and managing shareholder expectations. However, with a clear vision and commitment to innovation, we successfully overcome these obstacles.
Looking back since you started, what value has your Shule System been able to add to the educational sector in DRC?
Since our inception, Shule System has brought significant value to the educational sector in the DRC by facilitating school monitoring, communication between parents and schools, and administrative management. Our platform has enabled schools to improve their operational efficiency and offer a more interactive and personalized learning experience for students.
Are you looking at expanding your business to other parts of Africa?
Absolutely, we are considering expanding our business to other regions of Africa where similar challenges exist in the educational sector. We believe that our technology can have a positive impact in other African countries by offering innovative solutions to improve education and foster socio-economic development.
You were quoted to have said “I’m not the next Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg, I intend to stay true to myself” what informs that?
For me, being the next Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg is not the goal. Instead, I aspire to forge my own path and leave a unique imprint in the world of technology. I firmly believe in drawing inspiration from others but also in staying true to oneself. I want to be recognized not as a replica of these great names but as the first Mannick Syllas Bryant. By forging my own identity and developing innovative solutions that bear my personal mark, I can contribute authentically and meaningfully to societal progress.
Can you share your big dream with me?
My big dream is to see Shule System become the undisputed reference for school management and connected education in Africa. I aim to contribute to transforming the educational landscape by offering innovative and accessible solutions that enable all children to access quality education, regardless of their location.
As a successful entrepreneur, what is your perception about fame and riches?
To me, fame and riches are natural outcomes of success and recognition for my efforts to bring positive change to society. However, what is most important to me is the impact I can have on others and the contribution I can make to collective well-being.
Tell me what a young entrepreneur should do to grow his business?
To grow their business, a young entrepreneur should first have a clear and determined vision, as well as a passion for their field of activity. They should be prepared to take calculated risks, learn from their failures, and surround themselves with a talented and committed team. Additionally, they should remain open to opportunities for growth and innovation while staying true to their values and long-term vision.
