Excerpts:
You run a multi-sector company. Thorpe Consolidated Services Limited is into project management, renewable energy, medical technology, amongst other. How are you able to provide excellent services against the background that these are different fields?
I think at the core of it all is project management. No two projects are ever the same, but if you truly understand the fundamentals of project management, you can build a solid team to execute just about anything. I have hands-on experience across these different fields, and while they may seem unrelated on the surface, they all follow the same structured lifecycle. At Thorpe, we’ve built on this foundation to create a unified operational framework that allows us maintain excellence across sectors. We assemble strong, specialised teams for each focus area while anchoring everything in clear processes, accountability, and innovation. From powering communities to equipping hospitals, that shared project management DNA ensures consistency, quality, and impact.
What gaps did you noticed in the renewable energy sector that made you to include it in your services?
The gap isn’t in renewable energy alone; it’s in the entire power sector. Nigeria’s inability to provide 24-hour electricity for its citizens remains one of our most pressing challenges. Power is a basic necessity that influences everything else: livelihoods, business productivity, healthcare, education, and overall quality of life. If we can’t solve something as fundamental as stable electricity, how can we expect people to have the mental bandwidth to innovate and build for the future? Like millions of Nigerians, I’ve experienced the frustration of unreliable power firsthand. There are still countless households and communities that have no access to electricity at all. This reality highlighted a huge opportunity for renewable energy to step in as a clean reliable, sustainable alternative. Renewable energy for us, is a real and urgent need. We noticed that while solutions exist, many communities and institutions remain underserved. The scale of Nigeria’s energy challenge requires more hands, more innovation, and more sustainable models. The reality is that no single organization can solve this alone. By bringing a project management-driven approach into the energy sector, we aim to complement existing efforts and contribute to building reliable, long-term solutions that work.
Procurement, supplies and installation of medical equipment require diligence, what assurances are you giving to the government, corporate organisation and individuals about your services in these areas?
I believe that every sector requires diligence, which is why excellence is one of our core values at Thorpe. We embed this mindset into every aspect of our delivery and uphold the highest standards. Thorpe is fully compliant with all relevant rules and regulations, and we have the documentation to back this up. Our engineers are skilled, well-trained, and bring years of successful delivery experience to the table. We are properly equipped in knowledge and technical capability to execute these projects with precision. The medical space, in particular, leaves no room for error, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our assurance to government, corporate organizations, and individuals rests on three pillars: quality, transparency, and accountability. We work only with verified manufacturers and trusted suppliers to ensure that every piece of equipment meets international standards. Our processes are transparent from sourcing to delivery and installation, with strict quality control at every stage. Beyond installation, we provide training and after-sales support, because for us, it’s about ensuring functionality that saves lives.

Can you provide these services for clients in other African countries?
Absolutely. From the beginning, our vision has always extended beyond Nigeria’s borders. Many of the challenges we’re addressing are not unique to Nigeria; they are shared across the continent. That’s why we’ve built our systems, teams, and processes to be scalable and adaptable to different African contexts. We’re laying groundwork for regional partnerships and cross-border collaborations, because we recognize that Africa’s development is interconnected and we see Thorpe playing a key role in Africa’s collective progress. So yes, we are ready and able to serve clients anywhere on the continent.
What will you consider as major milestones of your company?
Over the years, we’ve marked several milestones that reflect our versatility and commitment to impact. Through a partner company, we supported the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) during the COVID-19 emergency response, facilitating the procurement and supply of over 90 critical medical equipment and consumables under tight timelines. In Imo State, we contributed to a public infrastructure rehabilitation project, deploying renewable energy solutions that enhanced security, improved public spaces, and promoted sustainable power access. With the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), we delivered a large-scale solar street lighting project involving 229 installations, showcasing our ability to execute at scale. Finally, through a partner company, we were involved in the installation of High Dose Rate Brachytherapy equipment in 6 Tertiary Teaching Hospitals for the Federal Ministry of Health, a technically demanding project that strengthened our footprint in healthcare infrastructure.
Who are your partners and clients and how is Thorpe’s relationship with them?
We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with visionary organizations that share our commitment to progress and impact. Some of our notable partners and clients include Biobase Bioindustry Limited, ICEN Technology, Cloud Energy Photoelectric Limited, Standard Electro-Medical Equipment Company (SEMED), Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) amongst others. Our relationships are built on trust, transparency, and shared objectives. For Thorpe, every successful collaboration is a proof that when the right people and organizations come together, transformative change becomes possible.
What is your message to Nigerians and your potential clients in other African countries?
Our message to Nigerians and our potential clients across Africa is simple: Africa’s future is bright, and it will be built by Africans who dare to think boldly and execute diligently. At Thorpe, we believe that sustainable development becomes possible when vision meets structure, and that excellence is not exclusive to any one part of the world, it can be built right here, by us, for us. We are here to partner with governments, businesses, and communities to create solutions that last. Whether it’s powering rural communities, equipping hospitals, or managing large-scale projects, our commitment remains the same: excellence and impact. To Nigerians and our African brothers and sisters, the time to shape our future is now, and Thorpe is ready to play its part but we also know we can’t do it alone. It will take collaboration, vision, and a shared belief that Africa deserves world-class solutions. The work ahead is big, but so is the potential and Thorpe is here for the long haul.
