As Nigerians all over the world celebrate the 57th Independence Anniversary of their country, Nigeria’s High Commission in Ghana is organizing a modest Reception to mark this all important day.
Interestingly, the 57th Independence Reception will hold at 42, Independence Avenue, East Ridge, Osu, Accra, the residence of energetic and hard-working Nigerian High Commissioner to Ghana, Ambassador Olufemi Michael Abikoye on Sunday, 1st, October, 2017 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm
The President of Ghana ,Nana Akufo- Addo will be represented at the Reception by the Minister of National Security, Albert Kan Dapaah. It will also attract the Diplomatic Corps .The event will feature Nigerian cultural dance.
Nigeria and Ghana are major economic forces in West Africa. While Ghana obtained her Independence from Britain on March 6,1957, Nigeria gained Independence from the same country on 1st October, 1960.
