Preparation for the fourth edition of Nigeria Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum has commenced in earnest even as the Federal Government of Nigeria is exploring how Belgium and Luxembourg can serve as strategic gateways for promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, creative industries, and tourism investment opportunities to a broader European audience.
To achieve this goal, the Commercial Director Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Belgium, Luxembourg, Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (CBL-ACP), Thomas De Beule and the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy of Nigeria, Hannatu Musa Musawa, during the week in Abuja held for a strategic meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Nigeria and the Belgium–Luxembourg region.
Green Savannah Diplomatic Cable gathered that the meeting centered on advancing Nigeria’s Vision 2030 agenda, particularly the positioning of Nigeria as a leading tourism and cultural destination.
According to a competent source, “discussions explored how Belgium and Luxembourg can serve as strategic gateways for promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, creative industries, and tourism investment opportunities to a broader European audience.
“Both parties examined opportunities for structured collaboration in tourism promotion, cultural exchange, and private sector engagement.
“Particular emphasis was placed on leveraging the Nigeria Belgium Luxembourg Business Forum 28-30 October 2026 in Brussels as a high-level platform to showcase Nigeria’s creative economy and attract European partners.
“An invitation was extended to the Minister to attend and contribute to the 2026 Forum, where Nigeria’s tourism vision and investment opportunities could be presented to policymakers, investors, and business leaders from across the Benelux region”.

The source disclosed further that the meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen bilateral engagement and translate discussions into tangible initiatives that support sustainable growth in tourism and the creative economy.
Founded in 1964, the CBL-ACP aims to facilitate and develop economic exchanges between Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the African (North-Africa included), Caribbean and Pacific countries.
