Adesewa Oyinloye, a communications professional and founder in the social impact space, has officially launched Novafri Agency, an organization focused on helping organisations and founders secure funding, build visibility and trust. With a background in working with nonprofits and purpose-driven individuals, she has seen firsthand how great ideas often go unnoticed due to poor communication. Through Novafri, she is now providing structured support ranging from proposal and grant writing to media placements, ghostwriting, and strategic storytelling.
In this interview, she shares the story behind Novafri, what the agency offers, and why communication plays a major role in who gets seen, trusted and funded.
Excerpts:
Tell us about yourself. Who is Adesewa Oyinloye?
I am an NGO founder and a communications professional. I work in the social impact space as a brand storyteller, helping NGOs secure funding via storytelling. Over the years, I have worked closely with nonprofits, development organisations, and individuals who are doing great work but struggle to get funding and visibility. I bring my expertise into solving that. Alongside that, I run an NGO, The Sisi Empowerment Foundation, focused on education and leadership development of young girls and boys.
You just launched Novafri Agency. What led to this decision?
It was never in my plans to start a communications agency. It started from people asking me to help them write. I would help a founder write a proposal, and they would secure funding with international organizations like the United Nations and International Organization for Migration. I would help another person position themselves online, and suddenly they were getting opportunities and speaking invites. At some point, I had to ask myself, what exactly is happening here? I realised that a lot of good work is hidden because it is not communicated well. People have ideas, they have the passion, they are doing the work but they don’t know how to present it in a way that is attractive enough to securing opportunities. Novafri was born from that gap. It is about making sure good work does not stay invisible.

What does Novafri Communications actually do?
We help organisations and founders get three things: funding, visibility, and trust. On the funding side, we write proposals, grants and pitch decks. On the visibility side, we help with media features, including newspaper placements, TV appearances, and strategic storytelling. We also work closely with founders and professionals to build their voice. That includes ghostwriting for their social media and even books. It is a full communications support system. From the moment you have an idea to the point where people are paying attention to you and backing you.
There are many communications agencies. What makes Novafri different?
A lot of agencies focus on aesthetics or just visibility. We focus on results. If we are writing a proposal, the goal is funding. If we are helping you manage your social media presence, the goal is opportunities. If we are pushing for media features, the goal is credibility. Also, we understand the social impact space . We understand how donors think, how organisations are assessed, and what makes people trust your work. And beyond that, we are very human in our approach. We don’t force people into a template. We help you sound like yourself, just better.

You mentioned trust. Why is trust so important in communication?
Because donors don’t just fund ideas. They actually fund the people they trust. You can have the best idea in the world but if your communication is inviting to people, they will hesitate. Trust comes from the way you present your work, your story and your results.
Who are your ideal clients?
Founders, professionals, and organisations who are serious about what they are building. Especially people in the corporate world, tech space, social impact space, development sector, and purpose-driven businesses. If you know you are doing good work but you are struggling to get funding, visibility or recognition, then you need what we offer.
You are still quite young. Do you feel any pressure launching something like this?
Of course, there is pressure but I think what gives me confidence is that this is not theory for me.I have seen the results of my skills. I have worked with people who have gone ahead to secure opportunities. So it is not about age. I am good at my craft.
What has your journey been like leading up to this point?
It has been a mix of learning and doing the work even when nobody was watching. From volunteering, to working in organisations, to running my own initiative, everything has taught me something about people, communication, and impact. I have also had to grow personally. Learning how to use my voice and how to be confident in what I carry. Novafri is a result of all those experiences coming together.
What is your long-term vision for Novafri Agency?
I want Novafri to become a go-to agency for organisations and founders who want results. Not just locally, but globally. I want us to be known for helping people secure major funding, build strong visibility, and position themselves as authorities in their fields. And beyond services, I want us to also educate. To help more people understand how communication can change their outcomes.
What would you say to someone who has a great idea but feels unseen?
You are not as invisible as you think. Sometimes, it is just a communication problem. Learn how to tell your story. Learn how to present your work, or work with people who can help you do it well. Then, the right people will find you.
