Founder of Zawram Foundation, Barrister Zainab Marwa-Abubakar has been appointed into the Digital Ttransformation Committee of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee of the party.

Zainab who is also the President and Founder of Aspire Women Forum (AWF) is the daughter of the Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd)
A letter signed by the party’s National Secretary, Senator John James Akpanudoedehe conveyed Governor Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the CECPC’s approval for the appointment.
The letter to the lawyer and gender balance advocate reads in part, “The party is convinced that your invaluable credentials will be of immense benefit to the party in this endeavor”
She had her secondary school at Essence International School, Kaduna and graduated in Law at the age of 19 from the University of Buckingham in the UK. Zainab obtained her Masters in Service Management from the same university.
While at SERVICOM Zainab served in a triple capacity as the Special Assistant to the National Coordinator of SERVICOM, she facilitated training workshops for Government MDAs for the DFID in the SERVICOM Institute and headed the Complaints Department of all SERVICOM units nationwide which she built from the ground up.
Barrister Zainab ran for the seat of House of Representatives in AMAC and Bwari Constituency of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja-Nigeria in 2018. She gave a good fight but lost the election and later became the National Coordinator of the APC Female Aspirants Forum and the National Woman Leader of the APC Aspirants Forum. She was a member of the 2019 Women and Youth Presidential Campaign Team of Dr. Aisha Buhari, wife of the President of Nigeria as well as the Presidential Campaign Committee.
Her interview with Leadership Newspaper three years ago revealed the kind of heart she has. In that interview she said “I remember our visit to ABU Teaching Hospital which was then in Kaduna. My heart broke at the sight of a young girl with cancer of the eye. I wept. What I remember even more is that something was lit in me that day, a need and yearning to live to help others, to make their lives easier, to serve. Like a small match causing an explosion, this fire burned in me till I finally launched my non-governmental organisation (NGO) in 2006”
